Volunteer Health Professionals are a necessary part of what we do during the summer camp season. The cost to pay a health professional market value for weeks at a time would alter Camp Magruder’s ability to budget for the operations it currently maintains. The donation of medical expertise is more valuable than monetary gifts. What’s more, it creates new relationships and connections for the provider, our staff, and campers. If you want to donate to a worthy cause and help in our mission to build meaningful relationships, volunteering is an opportunity to support that requires no money. Mental Health Professionals
Camp Magruder is in its first year of recruiting licensed mental health counselors to volunteer during our youth camps. These volunteers would support the mental health needs of campers and staffers, helping to diagnose behavioral issues and offer counsel and best practices in times of stress and conflict.
Medical Professionals

Each Summer RNs, LPNs, or EMTs spend a week or weekend at one of our summer youth camps or family camps offering care and expertise. Medical professionals diagnose injuries and illness, decide when greater medical care is required, and distribute medication throughout their time.
