Health & Safety
Fire Safety
Fires will be permitted only in fireplaces, wood stoves, and designated campfire circles. Beach fires are permitted and must be built on open dry sand at least 50 feet from dune vegetation and accumulations of driftwood. Firewood is provided for registered guest groups to use at Camp Magruder.
Water Safety
Swimming and boating is permitted when camp lifeguards are on duty. Camp Magruder recommends that persons stay out of the ocean, including wading, unless they are supervised by a Camp Magruder lifeguard. Adults should be present to provide supervision of children and youth at the beach.
Health Care
Rental groups are responsible for their own nurse/firest aid coverage. Camp Magruder has 911 service and an A.E.D. is located on site. Emergency care can be obtained at Tillamook County Community Hospital, about an 18-20 minute drive from camp.
Food Sanitation
Groups preparing food for snacks are responsible for proper food sanitation practices, including sanitizing utensils, equipment, and counter surfaces; minimizing the time that potentially hazardous foods remain in the temperature danger zone of 40F to 140F; proper food cooling, food storage, and cleaning of all dishes, pots, and pans, with the wash, rinse, sanitize, and air dry process.

Other
Meal KP
We ask that each group designate 5-8 people to help set-up and clean-up before and after each meal. Report to Carrier Lodge 15-20 minutes before each meal to set tables and then remain 15-20 minutes following the end of each meal to clean up. Consult your camp host if you have any questions.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
We encourage a strong conservation ethic, including minimal use of disposable paper and Styrofoam meal service products. Recycling and composting receptacles are available at or near the Carrier Dining Hall. We can recycle everything but Styrofoam, florescent light bulbs, and items with food baked on them.
Copyright Laws
Groups are advised that they are not to copy, project, or otherwise use music in ways contrary to copyright law. Camp Magruder maintains a CCLI copyright license for the convenience of our guests. Volunteers and guests may utilize and copy music for camp programs under the terms of this license. To search specific copyright owners and/or song titles to determine if they are covered, volunteers and guests may visit: http://www.ccli.com/LicenseHolder/Search/CopyrightSearch.aspx. No video is to be used for which the group does not have permission or license to do so.
